I’m new to quilting – how does this process work?
You’ve made a quilt top – congratulations! Now what? Let’s get that beauty out of your sewing room, and finished into a practical gift that will keep someone warm!
Choose a stitching design & thread colors:
We can work together to choose a stitching design that complements the theme/style of your quilt. There are a ton of designs to choose from, or we can come up with something custom just for your project. I can do edge-to-edge designs, fully custom, or some combination of the two. We’ll agree to a price estimate based on design before I start quilting. I request a 50% deposit to start quilting.
Quilting:
I take your quilt top, batting, and backing of your choice, and assemble them on my longarm quilting machine. Typical turn around time is about a week.
Binding:
If desired, I will bind the edges of your quilt so your project is completely finished!
Pick-up:
Full payment is due at pick-up.
How long does it take to have my project quilted?
Once your project is started, turn-around time is about one week. If you require your project done by a specific date, we will work with you to make it happen in time!
Will I get updates throughout the process?
I love to share progress of the projects I’m working on. If you’d like to see your quilt in progress, I’m happy to share updates via text or email – whatever you’d like!
I’m working on a project and I’m stuck – can you help?
I would love to help! If you have questions about anything – fabric, sewing, sewing machines – give me a call.
